Matt Brooks has had a long and successful career in the building industry, first as a builder and then, as a building inspector. Matt completed his apprenticeship in Lismore started at 18, and shortly after a Clerk of Works Diploma. He moved to Brisbane shortly after, and it was here he cut his teeth in the building industry, working with high-end building companies. In 2001, after obtaining his QBCC building license, Matt established Brooks Designer Homes. For the next 19 years Matt took on many and varied building projects, both commercial and residential across Brisbane. Making his mark with high-level quality and finish for domestic renovations as well as multi-million-dollar residential properties, commercial construction projects and refurbishments.
In 2017, Matt decided it was time for a tree change, closing Brooks Designer Homes and moving his wife and three sons to a farm in the Brisbane Valley. He divides his time between building inspection services in the Toowoomba and surrounding areas, and breeding cattle on his Droughtmaster cattle stud. Both of which he loves with equal measure. Matt prides himself on a reputation for exceptional quality, and client care. He brings to every inspection over 28 years of building knowledge, and experience with all types of properties, and people. He investigates and reports on all aspects of structural integrity, workmanship, and maintenance issues on both domestic and commercial properties. As well as pool safety, and asbestos testing. All with the utmost attention to detail and care for the customer.
